About Warrior Girl Gifts
My name is Andrea and I am a 2 time breast cancer warrior. I created Warrior Girl Gifts to combine my love for creating with my passion for inspiring and empowering women.
During my first battle with breast cancer I received 16 anonymous gifts from the "chemo fairy," one for each round of chemotherapy. I actually got excited for chemo days! The “chemo fairy” provided me with so much support. The gifts were a blend of inspiration, humor and small gestures of thoughtfulness. At the end of my treatment, the "chemo fairy" emerged as 4 of my dear friends and they surprised me at my house with flowers and love.
All of these elements inspired me to create a place where humor, inspiration and strength are infused within each item. Why call it Warrior Girl Gifts? The name Andrea has been said to mean "brave" or "warrior." A perfect fit for a 2 time breast cancer warrior!
My Last Day of Chemo for Breast Cancer in May 2014
In 2013 I was diagnosed with Stage 2a Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I completed a double mastectomy and 16 rounds of chemotherapy. This was a very emotional time for all of us but we made fun t-shirts to wear and celebrated with the whole staff at the hospital.
2021 New Cancer Diagnosis
I was diagnosed with a new and unrelated AGGRESSIVE breast cancer in 2021, right in the middle of covid. Again, I endured chemotherapy, radiation and a year long course of a chemotherapy pill. That battle made me even stronger and more connected to what really matters most in life.
I'm Back!
Welcome to my new journey with Warrior Girl Gifts. This dream has been brewing for years and it has finally come to fruition. Let's build a community of warrior women, a place where you can be whoever you want!
